About this app
Overview, features and application details
Launched September 2026. Photograph an antique and the AI gives you an estimated value range plus comparable recent sales.
Vellum answers a question most people only get to ask an appraiser: what is this old thing worth? Photograph an antique from a few angles — a vase, a watch, a chair — and the AI identifies the item, estimates a value range, and shows you comparable recent sales to back it up.
It also pulls in background on the style, era, and maker when it can tell, which helps if you inherited something with zero paperwork. That's the appeal: a starting point before you pay for a professional appraisal or list something online.
Treat the numbers as a guide, not a certified valuation. Real sale prices depend on condition and the market, and the app is upfront about that. It launched in September 2026.
Free with a limit on appraisals; more are available through a paid tier.
