Overview, features and application details
Search what you see — identify plants, translate text, shop for products, and solve homework with your camera.
Google Lens turns your camera into a search engine. See something interesting? Point, tap, and get answers — no typing required.
It identifies plants, animals, landmarks, and products. It translates text in photos instantly. It can even scan a math problem and walk through the solution, which makes it weirdly popular with students.
Shopping is a killer use case: snap a photo of a chair, a jacket, or a gadget and Lens finds where to buy it or something similar. Reverse image search on the go.
The text selection feature pulls printed text straight into your clipboard — great for digitizing business cards, documents, or that Wi-Fi password on the back of the router.
It is built into the Google app and Google Photos too, but the standalone Lens app is the fastest way to use it. Once you start pointing it at things, you will wonder how you lived without it.
