Your two-factor codes live on a YubiKey instead of your phone — tap the key over NFC or plug it in and your login codes appear. Lose the phone, keep the codes.
Most authenticator apps keep your codes on your phone. Yubico Authenticator keeps them on your YubiKey instead. That one change removes the biggest risk: your phone can be stolen, hacked, or reset, and your codes are still safe on the key.
Plug the YubiKey into your phone over USB or tap it over NFC and the app shows your codes. No internet needed, no account to sign into, no cloud backup to trust. It works with any site that supports standard TOTP or HOTP, so your Google, GitHub, and password-manager logins all live in one place.
You do need a YubiKey 5 series to use it — that's the point. One key works across Android, iPhone, and desktop, so you buy it once and use it everywhere. If you already carry a YubiKey for passkeys or logins, this is the companion app you should have installed.
The app is open source, shows everything on one clean screen, and asks for almost nothing: no ads, no analytics to worry about, just your codes when you need them.
