About this app
Overview, features and application details
X is the internet's town square — breaking news, live sports chatter, memes, and unfiltered opinions, all moving at the speed of the timeline.
X is where the internet reacts in real time. News breaks here before anywhere else, sports fans live-tweet every match, and a single post can travel around the world in minutes. The timeline mixes posts from people you follow with trending topics, so you're always one scroll away from whatever everyone is talking about right now.
Posting is simple — short text posts with photos, videos, polls, and GIFs — but the platform has grown well beyond that. Spaces hosts live audio conversations, long-form articles and video now live alongside quick posts, Communities gather people around shared interests, and direct messaging handles private chats. The For You feed surfaces posts from outside your follows based on what you engage with, which is how most people discover new accounts.
Why grab the APK here? Some devices ship without the Play Store, some regions restrict the app, and some users prefer installing a verified package manually. The file below is the official X build (package com.twitter.android, published by X Corp.) — download it, install, and log in with your existing account. Your timeline, follows, and bookmarks sync automatically.
