About this app
Overview, features and application details
An indie podcast player with full Podcasting 2.0 support — transcripts, chapters, funding links — plus Podchaser-powered reviews to help you find your next show.
Podcast Guru is the podcast app for listeners who want more than play and pause. It's built on Podcasting 2.0, so where podcasters support it you get transcripts, on-screen chapters with links and images, funding links to support creators, location info, full credits, and real-time episode notifications via Podping.
Discovery gets help from Podchaser-powered reviews and ratings, so you can judge a show before committing ten hours to it. And the basics are covered properly: offline auto-downloads, sleep timer, adjustable playback speed, playlists, Android Auto, Chromecast, night mode, a home-screen widget, and OPML import if you're switching from another app.
It's an indie app from ReallyBadApps, asks for minimal permissions, and stays at 28 MB. There's an optional VIP tier with cloud sync across devices including iOS. If you take podcasts seriously, this one respects the medium — and the listener.
