Proton Pass is the password manager from the Proton Mail team. End-to-end encrypted, open-source, and free — with built-in email aliases that hide your real address.
Proton Pass comes from Proton, the Swiss company behind Proton Mail and Proton VPN. Like everything they make, it's end-to-end encrypted and open-source, so anyone can check the code.
Beyond passwords and passkeys, its standout trick is hide-my-email aliases: generate a random email address for every signup, and mail forwards to your real inbox. Spam a site sells? Delete the alias and it's gone.
The free plan is genuinely generous — unlimited logins and devices, which most rivals charge for. Paid plans add more aliases and extra storage. If you care about privacy and hate spam, this one's an easy pick.
