Overview, features and application details
Step into real-life scenes — a café in Madrid, a border checkpoint — and learn a language by speaking it with an AI partner. No flashcards in sight.
Parlena skips the flashcards and throws you into scenes instead. Pick one at your level, from A1 beginner up to C1 advanced: ordering coffee in Madrid, talking your way past a border guard, calming a nervous friend. Then speak your replies out loud while your AI scene partner stays in character, listens, and coaches you like a patient tutor.
Stuck on a word? Tap any line for an instant translation. Finish a scene and you get coached on what you nailed, gentle corrections, and more natural ways to say things — with new words saved to your word chest for later.
It's for language learners who freeze in real conversations. Speaking out loud from day one is the whole point, so the real thing stops being scary before your trip even happens.
You can practice free every day with no account needed, and the app weighs just 26 MB. Going Pro unlocks unlimited scenes and lifelike neural character voices, and creative types can invent their own scenes and publish them for the community to play.
