About this app
Overview, features and application details
MX Player is one of the most popular video players on Android — it handles just about any video format, with smooth hardware-accelerated playback, swipe gesture controls, and full subtitle support.
MX Player is one of the most downloaded video players on Android, and it earned that spot by playing everything. Throw any video format at it and it just works — no codec packs, no "format not supported" errors. Hardware acceleration and multi-core decoding keep even heavy files playing smoothly on modest phones.
The controls are made for thumbs. Swipe up and down on the left for brightness, on the right for volume, swipe sideways to seek — you can do it all without looking. Subtitles get proper support with timing adjustment, pinch to zoom fills the screen, and a kids lock stops toddlers from exiting your movie. There's background audio playback for listening to videos like podcasts, a private folder for sensitive files, and an online streaming section built into the app.
Why grab the APK here? Devices without Play Store access, regions with store restrictions, or a preference for manual verified installs. The file below is the official MX Player build (package com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad, published by Amazon Mobile LLC) — install it and point it at your video folder.
