footnotes (styled lowercase) is a multimedia notebook that deliberately does the opposite of social media. You capture a photo, a voice note, or a line of text — a moment you noticed, nothing more.
There's no feed to scroll, no likes, no follower counts. Everything lands on a simple timeline you can scroll back through later, like a private journal that happens to hold pictures and audio. It's for keeping things for yourself, without the performance of posting.
The idea is small on purpose. No streaks, no prompts begging you to write more, no productivity guilt. Just a quiet place for passing thoughts, and a search that actually finds things months later when you want them.
It launched in September 2026 and is free to download.
