Instagram’s free video editor built for Reels. Trim, caption, and polish clips with pro tools — no watermark.
Edits is Instagram’s own video editor, built for anyone creating Reels and short-form video. It is completely free and exports without a watermark, which already puts it ahead of most mobile editors.
The timeline editor is genuinely capable: trim and reorder clips, add transitions, layer text, and fine-tune with frame-level precision. Auto-captions generate accurate subtitles in seconds, and the green screen and cutout effects handle the creative heavy lifting.
Because it is made by Instagram, sharing is seamless — export straight to Reels or save drafts to post later. Built-in analytics show how your videos perform, and idea tracking helps you save inspiration when it strikes.
If you post short video regularly, Edits removes the friction between filming and publishing. Shoot, polish, and share without ever leaving the ecosystem.
