The free graphing calculator from Desmos: instant equation plotting with sliders and tables, fully offline, in a tiny 6 MB package.
If you've taken algebra or calculus in the last decade, you've probably used Desmos on a browser. This is the phone version: equations plot instantly, sliders let you drag variables and watch graphs move, tables handle data.
The whole thing is 6 MB and works fully offline. It's the rare app that's both tiny and seriously capable — teachers recommend it because every student can install it, even on old phones.
Plotting is fast enough that it feels like a thinking tool, not a calculator. Try an idea, see the graph, adjust, repeat. That's how you actually learn what equations mean.
A staple of math classes worldwide, and free with no catches.
