About this app
Overview, features and application details
Turns your phone into a dash cam: background video recording in up to 4K, with loop recording, emergency locking and collision detection.
Dash Cam turns an ordinary smartphone into a driving recorder. Mount your phone, start the app, and it records your drive in 4K or Full HD — even running in the background with picture-in-picture, so you can still use navigation.
It records in a loop so storage never fills up, and there's an emergency button that locks important footage so it can't be overwritten. The app can also detect sudden braking or a collision on its own and mark the clip automatically. Recording can start by itself when your phone connects to car Bluetooth or starts charging.
It's best for drivers who don't want to buy a separate dash cam, and for anyone who wants video evidence if something happens on the road. Tiny download at 5 MB.
Practical notes: free with a pro version available. Users rate it 4.2 stars. The app is designed to run light so it won't cook your phone or drain the battery fast.
