Phigros v4.0.1

Phigros is a free rhythm game with a gimmick that sounds odd until you try it: there are no fixed lanes. Notes rain down the screen and you tap, hold, flick, or drag along a judgment line that moves, tilts, and sometimes spins while the music plays.

It's a strange first impression, but the freedom makes charts feel alive in a way lane-locked games can't match. You'll be chasing notes across the whole screen on harder songs, which is exactly the fun of it.

The library is the other big draw. Hundreds of songs are free from the start, spanning electronic, pop, and experimental tracks from a long list of artists. A chapter-based story ties the collection together if you want something to follow between sessions.

Because there's no paywall on the music, Phigros has become one of the most-downloaded rhythm games on phones. If you've never tried a lane-free rhythm game, this is the one to start with — and it costs nothing.
