Audiobookshelf

Audiobookshelf is the mobile companion for people who keep their own audiobook and podcast collection. It connects to your self-hosted Audiobookshelf server — a free, open-source media manager you run yourself — and streams your library straight to your phone. You get a proper audiobook player with playback speed control, a sleep timer, chapter navigation, and bookmarks, plus podcast support with automatic downloads. Your progress syncs back to the server, so you can pick up where you left off on any device, and multiple users in the house can each have their own account. The app itself is open source, updated regularly, and already used by over 100,000 people. If you'd rather own your audiobooks than rent them from a subscription service, this is the cleanest way to do it.
